Jean: “My father did not have a lot of resources to support me but he has always explained to me the importance of education. During my first two years of high school, I was studying at a school that is next to the camp. We had to walk 6 kilometres each day to get there. For my final year, I got a scholarship and could attend a better high school in Kigali. During high school, I was trained as an electrician, so I am now well prepared to study Civil Engineering.”
